YouTube Stickman Animator / Video Editor — $50 Per Video

I’m looking for a beginner or intermediate video editor/animator to work with me on a new YouTube channel focused on science, psychology, mindset, habits, human behavior, and self-improvement.

The videos will use simple stickman-style animation and are usually around 8 minutes long.

Starting rate: $50 per completed video

This is a new channel, so I’m starting with a $50/video budget. Once the channel starts earning revenue and growing, I plan to increase the rate for the right animator. I’m looking for someone interested in building a long-term working relationship and growing with the channel.

You do NOT need to be an expert animator. Beginners are welcome. I care more about creativity, reliability, willingness to learn, and your ability to turn a voiceover into entertaining visuals.

You should:

• Have a good sense of pacing and visual storytelling
• Be able to create simple but engaging stickman animation
• Be able to visually explain science and psychology concepts in an easy-to-understand way
• Follow a reference style
• Be willing to learn and improve
• Communicate well and meet deadlines
• Keep the main stickman character visually consistent throughout the channel

What the Videos Need

The animation does NOT need to be extremely complicated.

I’m looking for simple stickman scenes and visuals that help explain the topic, tell the story, and keep viewers watching.

This may include:

• Stickman characters with expressive reactions
• Simple character movements and animation
• Visual explanations of science, psychology, and human behavior
• Scene changes that match the voiceover
• Zooms and camera movements
• Text, labels, diagrams, or simple graphics when needed
• Sound effects
• Background music
• Good comedic or dramatic timing
• Frequent visual changes that help maintain viewer attention

I am NOT looking for basic slideshow editing.

Even though the animation style is simple, I want the finished videos to feel alive, entertaining, educational, and intentionally edited.

What I Provide

I will provide:

• Voiceover
• Script
• Reference video/style
• Main stickman character
• Storyboard or visual direction when needed

The main stickman character needs to remain consistent across every video, since he will become part of the channel’s identity.

Short Test

For shortlisted applicants, I’ll provide a reference video and a short voiceover clip.

I’ll ask you to create a 15–30 second sample so I can evaluate your animation style, pacing, creativity, and ability to follow the reference.

I’m not expecting perfection.

I’m mainly looking for someone who understands the style, has creative instincts, can turn the voiceover into entertaining visuals, takes feedback well, and is willing to improve over time.

Long-Term Opportunity

My goal is to find one reliable animator I can continue working with, rather than constantly hiring different people.

The starting rate is $50 per 8-minute video, but this is a new channel. Once the channel starts generating revenue, I intend to raise the rate based on the channel’s performance, your reliability, and the quality of your work.

If the channel does well, I want the person who helped build it with me to benefit from that growth too.
