About the Role

LOCATION: Metro Manila
CONTRACT TYPE: Short-Term Independent Consultancy (Flexible)

PROJECT DURATION: 6–8 Weeks

ABOUT THE ROLE:
INSIGLOBEX LLC, a U.S.-based trade research firm executing a federally funded market assessment for U.S. agricultural exports, is seeking an experienced, senior qualitative researcher to lead on-the-ground stakeholder interviews in the beverage alcohol and hospitality sector.

The Consultant will identify, schedule, conduct, and summarize 12 to 15 high-level Key Stakeholder Interviews with major industry gatekeepers, including primary alcohol importers, hotel/resort F&B directors, speakeasy managers, and trade association leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (IN-SCOPE):

  • Sampling Plan Development: Identify and build an approved contact list of 15+ target interviewees across the local beverage ecosystem.
  • Stakeholder Outreach & Scheduling: Coordinate and confirm in-person or virtual interviews with key decision-makers.
  • Interview Execution: Conduct 12 to 15 structured 30–45 minute interviews in English (or local language translated into English) following provided qualitative interview guides.
  • Compliance Protocol: Secure signed/recorded informed consent from 100% of participants prior to interview recording.
  • Briefing Summaries: Complete a standardized, 1-to-2 page Key Stakeholder Interview Summary in English for every finished interview.
  • Time & Travel Tracking: Submit daily activity timesheets and receipts.

EXPLICITLY OUT OF SCOPE:
This role is strictly focused on high-level qualitative interviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in qualitative research, trade policy analysis, market access, or consultancy in the Food & Beverage / Hospitality sector.
  • Industry Network: Strong professional network or proven ability to access executive-level gatekeepers (importers, hotel F&B directors, customs brokers).
  • Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Local language capability (Tagalog) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Capabilities: Reliable smartphone/recorder for audio capture and access to Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Professionalism: Strict adherence to data ethics, confidentiality, and anti-bribery/federal grant standards.

COMPENSATION & TIME COMMITMENT:

  • Rate: billable hour.
  • Time: 6 weeks or less
  • Travel Expenses: Direct local transit to/from interviews fully reimbursed at actual cost against receipts.
  • Payment Terms: Disbursed monthly upon submission of timesheets, raw audio files, consent forms, and approved English KII Summaries.
