Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist
Confidential employer
About Us
Direct Care Assistance is an Australian NDIS service provider delivering support work, nursing, and
Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. We're building a dedicated, full-time recruitment function to
help us find and hire the right people, faster.
The Role:
We're hiring a full-time, Philippines-based Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist to own our end-to end hiring pipeline, from sourcing and screening through to job ad creation and applicant tracking, and to manage ongoing employee compliance once staff are hired. You'll work closely with our Australia-based Service Delivery Manager and Workforce Coordinator, who make the final call on every hire, while you own everything that gets a strong shortlist in front of them and keeps our staff compliant afterward.
What You'll Do:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for support workers, nurses, team leaders, SIL house managers, and
operational staff.
- Write and design job ads and recruitment graphics (Canva or similar) for each platform.
- Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and our existing talent pool.
- Screen and shortlist candidates against role criteria; flag NDIS Worker Screening Check / right-to work status where relevant.
- Keep every candidate's status live and accurate in our ATS, so the Australian team has real-time
visibility into where each role stands.
- Coordinate final-round interviews and hand off shortlists to the Service Delivery Manager and
Workforce Coordinator for final decisions.
- Maintain a warm talent pipeline for roles we hire for repeatedly.
- Provide a brief weekly pipeline status update to the AU team.
- Manage ongoing compliance for current employees: track NDIS Worker Screening Check expiries,
police checks, First Aid/CPR certificates, and other required qualifications, and follow up renewals
before they lapse.
- Keep each employee's compliance status current in the ATS/HR system and flag any upcoming or
overdue lapses to the Service Delivery Manager and Workforce Coordinator.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years' full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition experience: sourcing, screening, and shortlisting,
not just HR admin.
- Experience recruiting for healthcare, aged care, disability support, or BPO/staffing highly regarded.
- Confident working inside an ATS and across multiple job boards.
- Strong written and spoken English. You'll be the first point of contact for candidates.
- Comfortable designing simple recruitment graphics (Canva or equivalent).
- Self-directed and able to own a full pipeline without close supervision.
- Reliable internet and a quiet, professional remote work setup.
- Able to overlap with Australian business hours (AEST).
- Comfortable tracking compliance documents and expiry dates methodically, ideally with prior HR or
compliance administration experience.
Compensation & Details:
- Rate: AUD $10/hour
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Fully remote, Philippines-based
- Direct hire, paid fortnightly by direct deposit
Before You Apply:
This role is full-cycle and independent from day one. We're not set up to train someone into recruitment
basics. Please only apply if all of the following are true:
- You have personally sourced, screened, and shortlisted candidates for full-time roles, not just posted
ads or scheduled interviews.
- You are applying knowing the rate is AUD $10/hour, full-time, and are comfortable with that.
- You can overlap with Australian business hours (AEST).
To confirm you've read this in full, begin your application with the words "Ready to Recruit." Applications
that don't include this will not be reviewed.
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with a written answer (150 words max) to this: "You have 48 hours and 50
applicants to turn into a shortlist of 5 for a disability support worker role. Walk me through exactly how
you'd do it." Generic or copy-pasted answers will not progress. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a
screening call; due to volume, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
