Short Form Video Editor (Trading/Finance Content)

We're Apex Gold Algo, a software company in the algorithmic trading space. We're looking for a skilled short form video editor to join our team and help produce fast-paced, high-retention content for our organic and paid social channels (Reels, Shorts, TikToks).

Our content includes trading results breakdowns, backtest walkthroughs, and hook-driven ad content built around a locked brand system (specific colors, fonts, and visual style you'll need to follow closely).

Responsibilities:

Screen record raw footage using OBS Studio (full training provided on our exact setup and process, no prior experience needed)
Edit raw footage into polished, high-retention short form videos (15-60 seconds)
Add captions/subtitles, motion text, sound design, and pacing techniques that maximize watch time and retention
Follow our established brand guidelines and templates consistently across every video
Deliver videos on a regular, reliable schedule
Communicate clearly and promptly on progress, revisions, and timelines

Requirements:

Proven experience editing short form video content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks)
Strong understanding of pacing, jump cuts, and retention-focused editing
Comfortable working within strict brand guidelines and templates
Reliable internet connection and own editing software/equipment
Good written English communication skills

Preferred (not required):

Experience editing finance, trading, or business-related content
Familiarity with OBS Studio (we'll train you either way)

Hours: Full Time
Work Type: Remote, long-term ongoing role
