About the Role

Inside Sales Representative — US Financial Services Marketing (Full Time, Long Term)

About Us

We are a U.S.-based digital marketing agency specializing in US-based financial services businesses. We have been doing this since 2001 and have served over 1,250 clients.

Our mission is simple: Big budgets shouldn't beat better local financial services. We change who gets found, and that changes who wins.

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to sell our services directly to agency owners across the United States.

This is not an appointment-setter position. This is not a call-center script job.

This is for someone who can hold a real business conversation with a small business owner, find what is actually costing them money, and show them a solution they can afford.

The Role

You will call, email , and follow up with independent locally owned financial services firms in the United States. (Accounting/Insurance/Investing) You will introduce our services, find out what is holding their growth back, and close them onto a monthly program.

Responsibilities include

  • Outbound calling to a provided prospect list
  • Qualifying and diagnosing prospect needs through real conversation
  • Presenting our service components clearly and confidently
  • Handling objections without pressure tactics
  • Closing new monthly recurring accounts
  • Following up by email and phone until you get a decision
  • Staying in contact with your clients after the sale
  • Protecting retention and spotting problems before they become cancellations
  • Growing existing accounts by adding services over time
  • Keeping accurate notes and pipeline records in our CRM

Important: Your clients stay yours. You are paid every month they stay with us. Keeping them happy is part of the job, not an afterthought.

What You Are Selling

Websites, content, reputation, local search visibility, AI search visibility, and compliance tools for small financial services firms.

You do NOT need to be an insurance expert. Our clients are the insurance experts. You need to become the visibility expert — how local businesses get found, why AI search is changing everything, and what it costs an agency to stay invisible.

We will give you the materials. We expect you to study them and know them cold.

Our entry pricing is deliberately affordable. A typical new client starts at around $500/month with a small setup fee. This is not a high-pressure, big-ticket sale. Our buyers are careful with money and skeptical of marketing companies. Your job is to earn trust, not to push. There are upgrade pathways that can push clients far above the $500/mo rate over time.

Compensation

We keep this simple. Everything is 5's.

  • $500 USD per month base salary
  • 5% of every setup fee you close — paid immediately (after 30-day cancellation period)
  • 5% of the monthly recurring revenue of every client you sell and retain — paid every single month that client stays with us (start after 30-day cancellation period)

There is no cap. There is no expiration. The book of business you build keeps paying you.

What this looks like in practice

| Stage | Base | Setup Commissions | Recurring | Monthly Total |
| Getting started (first months) | $500 | ~$200–260 | small | ~$750 |
| 20 active clients | $500 | ~$200–260 | ~$530 | ~$1,250 |
| 40 active clients | $500 | ~$200–260 | ~$1,065 | ~$1,800 |
| 100 active clients | $500 | ~$200–260 | ~$2,665 | ~$3,400 |

*(Based on a typical $500/month client and roughly four closes per month. Your actual results depend on your performance.)*

Our expectation: you build to $5,000/month in recurring revenue under management and keep growing from there.

If a client cancels, that recurring commission stops. This is why retention is part of your job and part of your pay.

Requirements

Must have

  • Proven B2B sales experience with a closing track record — not just lead generation or appointment setting
  • Excellent spoken English with a neutral or American-sounding accent
  • Selling environment with zero background noises. (No screaming children, chickens, loud TVs)
  • Confidence talking to American small business owners as a peer
  • Ability to work US business hours (Eastern or Central time)
  • Reliable hardwired internet connection
  • Backup power and backup internet
  • A quiet, dedicated home office — no background noise of any kind
  • Professional USB headset
  • Comfort with CRM systems and disciplined note-taking

We are looking for someone who

  • Is genuinely curious about other people's problems
  • Listens more than they talk
  • Enjoys finding the real issue underneath what the prospect says
  • Can research a market and a prospect without being told to
  • Takes ownership of their pipeline and their numbers
  • Handles rejection without losing energy
  • Follows up relentlessly and politely

This Position Is NOT For You If

  • You have never closed a sale yourself
  • You need a script for every situation
  • You need to be told what to do each day
  • You are uncomfortable calling business owners in the United States
  • You want commission without account responsibility
  • You are looking for a short-term or part-time position
  • You are not willing to work US hours

This Position IS For You If

  • You are a self-starter who does not wait for opportunities... you make them
  • You love the ---------- nt when a prospect realizes you understand their problem
  • You want to build a book of business that pays you every month
  • You are looking for a long-term home, not a contract
  • You believe small local businesses deserve to compete with big budgets

Required With Your Application

Applications missing any of these will not be reviewed.

1. Begin your application with the word "Lighthouse" so we know you read this posting.
2. A short summary of your B2B sales experience, including what you sold, to whom, and your typical monthly close numbers.
3. A voice recording (2–3 minutes) telling us about a deal you closed that you are proud of — what the prospect's real problem was, and how you found it.
4. Your answer to this: *A small business owner tells you "I already have a website and it's fine." What do you say next, and why?*
5. Your answer to this: *What is the difference between a prospect who says no and a prospect who is not ready?*
6. Your monthly salary expectation
7. Your time zone and the US hours you can commit to
8. Confirmation of your internet setup, backup power, and workspace

How We Evaluate Candidates

We hire on ability, judgment, and fit — not on how many years are on the resume.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a live role-play: we will give you our materials and a realistic prospect scenario, you will study it, and then you will run a real discovery and pitch conversation with us on a call. We are not looking for a perfect performance. We are looking for how you listen, how you handle a curveball, and whether you can think on your feet.

This is the fastest way for both of us to know if this is a fit.
