Video Editor – Wedding Footage Culling & Assistant Editor

Moody Imagery is an Australian wedding photography and videography studio. We create cinematic wedding films, and we're looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed Assistant Editor to handle the groundwork that makes those films possible.

This is NOT a lead creative role — our senior editors handle the story edit, colour, and sound. Your job is to prepare the footage brilliantly so they can focus purely on the story.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Organise, back up, and label raw wedding footage (multicam etc)
• Sync audio from external recorders/mics to video
• Do the first-pass cull — watch the raw footage and pull the best ---------- nts (genuine emotion, clean shots, usable audio) into an organised folders)
• Build rough string-outs / assembly timelines for our senior editors
• Keep our project files and media library clean and consistent

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Solid experience in DaVinci Resolve
• A good eye for spotting a good ---------- nt (a laugh, a tear, a clean shot)
• Excellent organisation — borderline obsessive about labelling and file structure
• Good written English and clear communication
• Fast, reliable internet for transferring large video files
• Reliability with deadlines — when you say it's done, it's done

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with wedding, event, or documentary footage
• Your own capable editing computer

HOURS & GROWTH: Around 20 hours/week to start, with a real path to more hours and responsibility as we grow.
