About the Role

We're a fast-growing company going through a lot of change — and honestly, our HR side hasn't kept up. No handbook, no real onboarding system, no KPI structure, no payroll process that's actually documented. We need someone to come in and build all of this from the ground up.

This is NOT a maintenance role. If you're the type who wants to just run existing systems, this isn't for you. We need a builder — someone who can look at chaos and turn it into structure that people actually use and follow.

*What you'll be building:*

HR Foundation

  • Employee handbook (policies, PTO, code of conduct, remote work rules, anti-harassment, confidentiality)
  • Full onboarding system: new hire checklists, welcome email sequences, ---------- day plans, training roadmaps
  • Documentation for every role: responsibilities, KPIs, reporting lines, success metrics
  • Org chart (current + future state), including contractor vs. employee designations

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Standardized hiring process: interview scorecards, evaluation forms, reference check process, offer letter templates
  • Recruiting assets: job posting templates, career page recommendations, candidate communication templates (rejections, follow-ups)

Performance Management

  • Performance review system: 30-day, 90-day, annual reviews + PIP template (managers handle the actual conversations)
  • KPI and accountability framework per role: weekly KPIs, monthly scorecards, success metrics

Compliance & Risk

  • Core employment docs: offer letters, independent contractor agreements, NDAs, non-solicitation agreements, acknowledgment forms
  • HR compliance audit: employee vs. contractor classification, multi-state compliance, payroll processes, labor law postings, personnel file requirements

Culture & Retention

  • Employee recognition program: values-based recognition, monthly awards, anniversary milestones, referral program
  • Engagement framework: stay interviews, exit interviews, surveys, structured feedback loops

Payroll

  • Understand our current payroll setup, then build and implement a proper process/system around it

*What we need from you:*

  • Real experience building HR systems and policies — not just administering ones someone else built
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance, and multi-state HR considerations
  • Strong written communication — you'll be writing policies people actually read and follow
  • Highly organized — you'll juggle multiple workstreams across all these areas at once
  • Comfortable working independently, remotely, in a fast-moving environment

Kindly send your updated resume and a 1-2min self intro to proceed, thank you!
