The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper for an immediate start in a full-time, remote position supporting our Australian clients.
This role supports Australian small and medium trade businesses and requires someone who can confidently manage the full bookkeeping function without supervision.
This is not an entry-level position and is not trainable. You must be able to step into the role from day one with no hand-holding.

Non-Negotiable Requirements
You must have:

• 100% proficiency in Xero (senior-level capability is mandatory)
• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle bookkeeping using Australian standards
• Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance and bookkeeping obligations
• Hands-on experience with bank and clearing account reconciliations
• Payroll experience, including STP Phase 2 compliance (essential)
• Solid understanding of superannuation and PAYG obligations
• Ability to complete month-end procedures and reporting independently
• Proven experience supporting Australian trade businesses (essential)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Close attention to detail, accuracy, and speed
• Strong tech-savviness and ability to learn systems quickly
• Ability to follow established processes exactly
• Excellent English (written and spoken) with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Dual computer screens and a stable, high-speed internet connection

Preferred / Added Advantage
While not essential, you will stand out if you have:

• Experience with Stripe and/or Pinch integrations with Xero
• Experience with software integrations linking sales/payment systems into Xero
• Strong familiarity with mechanical workshops or automotive industry workflows
