About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, persistent researcher to help enrich a database of 60 event/meeting venues across the United States. This is not a simple data-entry task — you'll need to think like a detective to track down the right contact at each venue, then confidently reach out to them by email and phone to gather information.

What you'll be doing:

  • Researching each venue online to find its website, and identifying the correct sales or events contact (name, title, direct email , direct phone)
  • Sending outreach email s and making follow-up calls to ask what meeting/event space options each venue offers
  • Logging everything accurately in a shared tracking spreadsheet
  • Following a clear process and status system so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Sending short daily progress updates

This role is a great fit if you:

  • Are comfortable making phone calls to businesses (not just email )
  • Don't give up after one dead end — you'll try 3-4 different approaches to find a contact
  • Write clean, professional, typo-free English
  • Are organized and detail-oriented with spreadsheets
  • Can work independently once given a clear process

Nice to have (not required):

  • Experience with lead generation, appointment setting, or research-based VA work
  • Familiarity with baseball or sports venues/stadiums — a lot of our venues are baseball-related, and general familiarity with concepts like seating areas, suites, and in-season/off-season scheduling makes conversations with venue staff faster and smoother. This is a bonus, not a requirement — strong researchers without this background are absolutely still encouraged to apply.

Application Instructions:
To apply, please do NOT send a generic copy-paste message. Instead, answer these three short questions in your application:

1. Describe a time you had to track down hard-to-find contact information (a name, email , or phone number) for a project. What steps did you take?
2. Have you made cold calls or cold email s to businesses before? If yes, briefly describe the context.
3. Are you a baseball fan, or generally familiar with baseball (seating types, in-season/off-season, that kind of thing)? This is not required to be considered — just tell us honestly either way.

Applications without answers to these questions will not be considered.
