About the Role

Pinterest & Content VA — Job Description
Position: Pinterest Marketing Virtual Assistant (this will start out as gig work but can lead to part-time / project-based)
About the Role
I run Incite to Write, a writing curriculum for homeschooling parents of struggling and reluctant writers (grades 3–8). I'm launching a new lead magnet funnel and need an experienced Pinterest specialist to build out my Pinterest presence and drive traffic to my website.

This is a great fit for someone who understands Pinterest as a search and discovery engine (not a social feed) and knows how to design pins that stop the scroll for a specific audience — in this case, homeschooling parents.

Responsibilities
Set up and optimize a Pinterest Business account (profile, bio, boards, keywords - I have started this process
Design pin graphics in Canva using my existing brand assets (logo, colors, fonts, photos)
Create multiple pin variations per landing page/blog post for A/B testing
Write SEO-optimized pin titles, descriptions, and board descriptions using homeschool-writing-niche keywords
Build and organize boards relevant to homeschooling, writing curriculum, and struggling/reluctant writers
Schedule and publish pins on a consistent cadence (tool TBD — Tailwind or native scheduler)
Monitor Pinterest Analytics and report on key metrics (impressions, saves, outbound clicks, top-performing pins) on a regular cadence (e.g., monthly)
Recommend adjustments to pin design or strategy based on performance data

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience running Pinterest for a business or brand (please share Pinterest analytics screenshots or a portfolio of pins you've created)
Minimum 5 years of experience with Canva, including working from brand kits/templates
Demonstrated understanding of Pinterest SEO (keyword research, pin titles/descriptions, board strategy)
Experience with Pinterest for content-based or educational brands preferred (parenting, education, homeschooling, or curriculum niches a strong plus)
Comfortable working from provided brand guidelines, existing website copy, and photos rather than generating brand identity from scratch
Strong written English for pin copy
Reliable communication and ability to meet weekly/monthly deliverable cadences

The following would be nice to have, but NOT necessary:
Experience with Tailwind (Pinterest scheduling tool)
Familiarity with MailerLite or similar email platforms (for coordinating pin links to opt-in pages) — not required
Experience with WordPress sites (for occasional light coordination with my web developer) — not required

What I'll Provide
Brand assets: logo, brand colors/fonts, photos
Website access details (view-only or limited as needed)
Existing landing page and lead magnet content
Target audience profile and messaging guidelines
Priority keywords already identified for this niche

Scope & Structure
Starting scope: Pinterest account setup + initial batch of pins (to be defined once we discuss your process)
Possible Ongoing: monthly pin creation and account management, hours/rate to be discussed based on your proposal
Please share your typical turnaround time, and 2–3 examples of Pinterest accounts you've grown

How to Apply
To be considered, please start your message with the word PINBOARD so I know you read this full post. Applications without it will not be reviewed.
