As we continue to expand globally, we are seeking experienced independent sales professionals
who are passionate about opening new commercial opportunities and introducing innovative
technology solutions to organizations across multiple industries.
About the Role
This is an Independent Contractor role operating under a monthly retainer plus commission
structure. The successful contractor will be responsible for generating new business
opportunities, identifying and engaging prospective clients and Channel Partners, conducting
introductory commercial discussions, arranging product demonstrations, and supporting
opportunities through the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Prospecting
- Research and identify prospective organizations aligned with the Company's target
market.
- Identify executive-level decision-makers and key business contacts.
- Generate qualified business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn
prospecting, referrals, networking, and other independent sales activities.
- Build, manage, and maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Secure introductory meetings and product demonstrations with qualified organizations.
2. Sales Activities
- Conduct introductory commercial discussions with prospective organizations.
- Present the Company's products, services, and value proposition.
- Understand prospective client requirements and determine business suitability.
- Arrange product demonstrations and commercial meetings with the COO.
- Maintain professional follow-up throughout the qualification process.
3. Opportunity Management
- Qualify opportunities in accordance with the Company's commercial criteria.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity updates.
- Progress qualified opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Refer qualified opportunities to the COO for commercial discussions, negotiations, and
contract execution.
- Prepare pipeline updates and activity reports as required.
4. Sales Support
- Professionally represent Ro&® during approved networking events, conferences,
webinars, and business development activities.
- Contribute market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor information that
supports business growth.
- Maintain current knowledge of the Company's products, services, target industries, and
competitive landscape.
5. Performance Expectations
- Consistently generate qualified business opportunities.
- Maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline.
- Achieve agreed business development objectives and performance targets.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, and sound commercial
judgment.
- Independently manage prospecting activities while maintaining accurate sales records
and CRM updates.
Authority
The Independent Sales Representative is authorized to:
- Identify prospective organizations.
- Initiate commercial discussions.
- Conduct introductory sales presentations.
- Arrange product demonstrations.
- Progress qualified opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Refer qualified opportunities to the COO for commercial review.
The Independent Sales Representative is not authorized to:
- Approve pricing, discounts, or commercial terms.
- Negotiate or execute contracts on behalf of the Company.
- Make financial commitments or legally bind the Company.
- Approve commercial agreements or partnership arrangements.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Information Technology,
Communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
Equivalent professional experience demonstrating the required competencies will also be
considered.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- Minimum eight (8) years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development,
enterprise sales, technology sales, or a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated success generating new business opportunities through outbound
prospecting and relationship development.
- Experience conducting professional sales presentations, introductory commercial
discussions, and product demonstrations.
- Experience working with a U.S.-based technology company or supporting U.S.-based
clients within the technology sector is highly preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with established commercial networks or proven sales
experience within the security, technology, AI, software, cybersecurity, risk
management, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to engage executive-level stakeholders and business decision
makers.
- Experience using CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, and modern business
applications.
- Experience operating independently within remote or international business
environments is advantageous.

- Existing professional network within the security, AI, software, technology, cybersecurity,
infrastructure, or risk management industries.
- Experience selling SaaS, AI platforms, enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud-based
solutions, or video intelligence technologies.
- Experience working with Australian or U.S.-based technology companies.
- International B2B sales experience.
- Experience operating as an independent sales representative.
Compensation
This is an Independent Contractor engagement compensated through a combination of a
monthly retainer and commission.
The monthly retainer is provided in recognition of the contractor's ongoing business
development activities, including prospecting, lead generation, relationship building, pipeline
management, and other agreed sales responsibilities.
In addition to the monthly retainer, the contractor will be eligible to earn commissions on
successfully completed commercial opportunities in accordance with the Independent
Contractor Agreement and the applicable Commission Structure.
The monthly retainer and commission arrangement will be discussed during the recruitment
process and formalized within the contractor's engagement documentation.
