E-commerce Product Research & Sourcing VA – UK Dropshipping

We are looking for a reliable Filipino Virtual Assistant to help us research products for a low-budget dropshipping business targeting customers in the UK.

This is initially a paid trial project. If the results are good, this can become an ongoing part-time or full-time position.

Your main responsibility

Your job is NOT simply to find random products.

You will research products and provide evidence showing why a product may be worth testing in the UK.

You will research:

• TikTok trends and viral products
• TikTok Creative Center
• Meta Ad Library
• Amazon UK
• eBay UK
• Google Trends
• AliExpress
• Alibaba
• CJdropshipping
• UK/EU suppliers and warehouses
• Competitor Shopify stores
• Product pricing and margins

Ideal product characteristics

We are initially interested in products that:

• Can potentially sell for around £15–£50
• Are small and lightweight
• Are not fragile
• Have relatively simple shipping
• Solve a clear customer problem
• Have potential demand in the UK
• Can potentially be sourced at a healthy margin
• Do not require a large upfront investment
• Preferably have UK/EU warehouse options

Avoid highly regulated or problematic products such as medical products, food, cosmetics, weapons, or products with obvious trademark/copyright issues.

For every product, provide

1. Product name
2. Why you think it has potential
3. Suggested UK selling price
4. Supplier link
5. Supplier price
6. Shipping cost
7. Estimated delivery time to the UK
8. UK competitor links
9. Competitor prices
10. Evidence of demand
11. TikTok evidence
12. Meta Ads evidence
13. Google Trends evidence where relevant
14. Estimated gross margin
15. Potential risks
16. All research/source links

All research should be presented in Google Sheets.

Paid Trial Task

Find 5 products that you believe could potentially be tested with a low budget in the UK.

For each product, provide the research requested above.

Then answer this question:

"If you had £300 of your own money and could test only ONE of these products in the UK, which one would you choose and why?"

We are much more interested in your reasoning and research quality than simply finding popular products.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with e-commerce/product research
• Can independently find information online
• Understands basic profit margins
• Can research competitors
• Can use Google Sheets
• Has good written English
• Pays attention to details
• Can explain WHY a product is worth testing
• Does not simply copy products from TikTok or other lists
