About the Role

Crypto Trading Research & AI Bot Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant / Research Assistant interested in cryptocurrency, algorithmic trading, and AI automation.

This is a research and development role. You will help us research trading strategies, collect market data, test ideas, and assist with the development and testing of automated trading systems.

Responsibilities

  • Research cryptocurrency trading strategies
  • Research technical indicators such as RSI, MACD, moving averages, volume and price action
  • Find and compare existing trading strategies
  • Collect and organize historical crypto market data
  • Assist with backtesting trading strategies
  • Compare strategy performance across different coins and timeframes
  • Record results in Google Sheets
  • Help test AI-assisted trading ideas
  • Assist with testing Python-based trading bots
  • Review bot logs and identify potential errors
  • Help compare backtest and paper-trading results
  • Research crypto exchange APIs and automation tools
  • Document findings clearly

Preferred Skills

  • Cryptocurrency knowledge
  • Trading / technical analysis knowledge
  • Web research
  • Google Sheets / Excel
  • Basic data analysis
  • Python is a strong advantage
  • pandas / NumPy is a strong advantage
  • Experience with TradingView is a plus
  • Experience with APIs is a plus
  • Experience with algorithmic trading or backtesting is a major advantage

Important

This is NOT a role where you will be asked to trade personal funds or manage money.

The initial focus will be on:

Research ? Backtesting ? Paper Trading ? Testing ? Automation

We are interested in data-driven decision making rather than guessing which coin will go up.

Paid Trial Task

As part of the trial, you will be asked to research 3 simple crypto trading strategies and create a clear comparison showing:

  • Strategy rules
  • Historical performance
  • Number of trades
  • Win rate
  • Maximum drawdown
  • Profit/loss
  • Risk/reward
  • Strengths and weaknesses
  • Recommended market conditions
  • Sources used

If you have Python skills, you may also be asked to create or modify a simple backtest.

Please include examples of previous trading research, Python projects, data analysis, or automation work if available.

This can become a long-term position for the right person.
