Video Editor – Long-Form & Short-Form Content | Long-Term Position

Two7One Creative House is a growing U.S video production and content company working with businesses, brands, podcasts and original media projects. We are looking for a talented and dependable video editor to join our team on a long-term basis.
This is not a one-time freelance project. We are looking for someone who wants consistent work, can learn the editing styles of our different clients and can become a reliable part of our production team.

What You Will Edit
You will help edit a combination of:
Short-form social media videos and reels
Interviews and podcast footage
YouTube videos
Branded business content
Promotional and storytelling videos
Longer videos that may be repurposed into multiple short-form clips

We will provide the raw footage, brand assets, project instructions and examples of the editing style we want.

Primary Responsibilities
Edit raw footage into polished long-form and short-form videos
Identify strong moments, hooks and clips from longer footage
Add captions, music, sound effects, B-roll and graphics when appropriate
Format videos for Instagram, Facebook , TikTok, YouTube and other platforms
Follow the established style and branding for each client
Make revisions based on clear feedback
Organize project files and completed videos properly
Meet agreed-upon deadlines
Communicate clearly about project status, questions and potential delays

Required Skills
Proven experience editing both long-form and short-form video
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling and viewer engagement
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro
Ability to create accurate and visually appealing captions
Good judgment when selecting music, B-roll and supporting visuals
Strong attention to detail
Reliable internet connection and computer capable of handling video projects
Ability to receive feedback and make revisions professionally
Good written English and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments

Preferred Qualifications
These are helpful but not required:
Experience editing podcasts or interview-based content
Experience creating social-media reels from long-form footage
Basic motion graphics or After Effects experience
Experience working with American businesses or content creators
Familiarity with Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive or similar platforms
Understanding of YouTube and social-media video formats

Paid Editing Test
Final candidates may be asked to complete a small paid editing test. All candidates will receive the same footage, instructions and reference video.

Ability to follow instructions

Turnaround time
