PR & Media Outreach Specialist

Summary
We are a property renovation business based in Australia. We're growing our media presence and looking for a sharp, proactive PR specialist to help us get in front of more journalists, publications, and industry outlets.
What you'll do:
-Work closely with our founder and tea ---------- mbers to spot newsworthy angles - deals closed, market trends, milestones, client wins, industry commentary
-Interview or gather info from tea ---------- mbers to pull out the "story" behind the numbers
-Write clear, publication-ready articles/press releases based on those leads
-Pitch and send finished pieces to our publicist (and potentially directly to media contacts) on a regular cadence
-Track what's been pitched, published, and where — keep a simple log of media wins
What we're looking for:
-Proven experience in PR, journalism, or media relations (property, finance, or business news a strong plus)
-Excellent Australian English writing — clean, compelling, no fluff
-Comfortable interviewing tea ---------- mbers and turning raw info into a polished story
-Self-starter who can proactively spot a story rather than waiting to be handed one
-Familiar with press release structure and what makes something "pitchable" to media
-Australian market awareness is a bonus (time zone overlap not required, but helpful)
Goals for this role:
-Increase our company's media visibility and press mentions
-Build a consistent pipeline of story leads ? articles ? publicist ? placements
