About the project

We’re looking for a skilled YouTube editor to create engaging documentary-style branded content.

Reference quality:

The editor should be able to deliver fast-paced edits with strong storytelling, motion graphics, and premium visual polish.

Responsibilities

• Edit 1 long-form YouTube video per week.
• Build engaging pacing and maintain audience retention.
• Add motion graphics, animated text, and UI elements.
• Source and integrate stock footage, images, and B-roll.
• Use sound design, transitions, zooms, and camera movements to enhance storytelling.
• Color correction and basic audio cleanup.

Required Skills

• Strong storytelling and pacing.
• Advanced editing in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Motion graphics in Adobe After Effects.
• Animated infographics.
• Kinetic typography.
• Callouts, charts, and UI animations.
• Masking and compositing.
• Basic VFX.
• Sound design.
• Color grading.

Nice to Have

• Experience editing documentary or educational YouTube channels.
• Ability to recreate styles similar to:
• MagnatesMedia
• Moon
• Johnny Harris
• James Jani
• Fern
• Aperture

Deliverables

• One completed YouTube video per week.
• Project files upon request.
• Ability to receive and implement feedback quickly.

Budget

• $200–400 per video, depending on experience and portfolio.
