AI Automation & Claude AI Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a growing digital services agency looking for an exceptional AI Automation & Claude AI Specialist who lives and breathes agentic workflows. This is not a general "prompt engineer" role — we need someone with deep, hands-on expertise in Anthropic's Claude ecosystem, including Claude Code, Claude Projects, the API, and multi-agent orchestration.

You will design, build, and maintain intelligent automation pipelines, autonomous AI agents, and Claude-powered tools that drive real results across our client projects — spanning web design, e-commerce operations, and marketing automation.

CORE CLAUDE AI REQUIREMENTS

Claude & Claude Code — Expert Level

• Expert-level fluency with Claude (Opus, Sonnet, Haiku) and their distinct capabilities
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code for agentic, autonomous coding tasks
• Ability to write, debug, and iterate on complex Claude-generated code outputs
• Deep understanding of Claude's context window management and token efficiency

Claude Workspace & Projects

• Proficiency with Claude Projects — building, organizing, and managing persistent workspaces
• Experience setting up system prompts, memory, and custom instructions within Projects
• Ability to structure complex multi-document knowledge bases inside Claude
• Skilled at maintaining context across long agentic sessions

Agentic Capabilities

• Strong grasp of Claude's agentic framework: tool use, computer use, and sub-agent delegation
• Experience orchestrating multi-agent pipelines with Claude as the primary model
• Ability to design human-in-the-loop checkpoints and safe autonomy boundaries
• Familiarity with Claude's MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations

Anthropic API & Prompt Engineering

• Deep experience with the Anthropic Messages API (system prompts, tool definitions, streaming)
• Expert-level prompt engineering: chain-of-thought, few-shot, XML structuring techniques
• Ability to evaluate and benchmark Claude outputs for reliability and accuracy
• Understanding of Claude's constitutional AI principles and safe deployment practices

2026 INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS

AI Agent Development

• Experience building production-ready autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents
• Proficiency with agent frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline design and implementation
• Building and deploying multi-agent systems with defined roles and handoff logic

Programming & Integration

• Strong Python skills — primary language for AI/automation workflows
• REST API integration: connecting agents to third-party services and databases
• Experience with Zapier, Make (Integromat), or similar no-code/low-code automation tools
• Basic JavaScript/TypeScript for web-based AI integrations

Data & Memory Systems

• Vector database experience: Pinecone, Weaviate, Supabase pgvector, or Chroma
• Designing agent memory architectures (short-term, long-term, episodic)
• Data cleaning and structuring for reliable agent context injection
• SQL fundamentals for querying agent-related data stores

Workflow & Deployment

• Experience deploying AI agents in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or ---------- )
• Comfort with Docker and basic CI/CD for agent pipeline deployments
• Building testing and evaluation frameworks for agent behavior validation
• Monitoring agent performance, failure modes, and escalation handling

Business Automation

• Proven experience automating real business workflows (marketing, sales, ops, e-commerce)
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional agent architectures
• Experience with CRM, e-commerce, or marketing automation tools (Shopify, ActiveCampaign, etc.)
• Documenting agent systems clearly for non-technical stakeholders

Safety & Quality

• Understanding of AI guardrails, output validation, and failure recovery
• Ability to design agents that escalate to humans at appropriate decision points
• Awareness of prompt injection risks and how to mitigate them
• Ethical AI deployment principles and bias awareness in automated systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build Claude-powered automation agents and multi-agent systems for client workflows
• Develop and maintain Claude Code projects for autonomous coding, research, and content pipelines
• Integrate Claude with external tools, APIs, databases, and no-code platforms (Zapier, Make, etc.)
• Build and run evaluation frameworks to test agent reliability, accuracy, and edge-case behavior
• Write clear technical documentation and SOPs for all AI systems you build
• Identify new automation opportunities across client e-commerce, marketing, and operations workflows
• Ensure all AI systems include appropriate safety guardrails and human oversight mechanisms
• Stay current with Anthropic's latest model releases, features, and API updates

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with other frontier LLMs (GPT-4o, Gemini, Mistral) for comparative benchmarking
• Familiarity with Shopify, Mindbody, ActiveCampaign, or similar platforms
• Prior work building AI agents for e-commerce or digital marketing use cases
• Experience with Supabase, Edge Functions, or serverless infrastructure for AI backends
• Exposure to voice AI, SMS automation (Twilio), or omnichannel agent workflows
• Portfolio of Claude-based projects you have shipped to production
• Experience working in a remote, async digital agency environment
