YouTube Video Editor

We're a fast-growing real estate company focused on helping people in and around the Rochester, New York area. Our goal is to create high-quality videos that educate viewers about different towns, neighborhoods, schools, restaurants, housing markets, and what it's really like to live in each community.

We're looking for a talented video editor who can take long-form talking-head footage and turn it into engaging, polished YouTube videos that keep viewers watching.

Responsibilities:
Edit one long-form YouTube video each week (typically 8–15 minutes)
Add B-roll, maps, drone footage, neighborhood visuals, photos, and graphics that support the story
Create engaging pacing that improves audience retention
Add clean transitions, zooms, callouts, text overlays, and motion graphics where appropriate
Color correct footage and clean up audio
Add background music that enhances the viewing experience without being distracting
Follow our established editing style and continuously improve it over time
Organize project files and deliver completed videos on schedule
Work collaboratively and incorporate feedback quickly

What We're Looking For:
Experience editing YouTube videos
Strong understanding of YouTube retention and storytelling
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
Ability to source and incorporate royalty-free B-roll when needed
Strong attention to detail
Reliable communication and consistent turnaround times
Ability to meet weekly deadlines

Bonus points if you have experience editing:

Real estate content
Travel or lifestyle videos
Educational or documentary-style YouTube videos
Video Style

Our videos are educational and conversational. We want viewers to feel like they're exploring each town with us—not watching a boring slideshow.

You'll be editing videos that include:

Talking-head footage
Drone footage
Neighborhood B-roll
Maps
Home footage
Graphics and statistics

The goal is to keep viewers engaged while providing valuable information about each community.
