Foresight Environmental is seeking a talented Design & Communications Coordinator to join our growing Australian team.
You will work closely with our Design and Marketing Manager, Company Directors and Australian consulting team to transform draft content, technical information and approved concepts into polished, professional communication materials.
This is not primarily a social media design role. It is a hands-on production and communications position for someone who enjoys long-form documents, templates, reports, presentations, signage, educational resources and maintaining an organised library of reusable assets.

About the Role
You will design, produce and maintain a wide variety of print and digital communication materials, including reports, guides, signage, presentations, proposals, capability statements, educational resources, marketing collateral and client communications.
You will also help manage our growing client learning hub (WasteDocs) resource library and design asset collection, ensuring templates and approved resources remain organised, current, easy to find and ready to adapt across a large client portfolio.
You will report to the Design and Marketing Manager and the Company Directors, while working closely with consultants, operations staff and external suppliers where required.
Key Responsibilities
Design Production
- Design and produce high-quality print and digital communication materials.
- Create reports, guides, signage, presentations, educational resources, proposals and marketing collateral.
- Prepare artwork for print and digital publication.
- Apply strong typography, layout and visual communication principles to all work.
- Ensure all deliverables are clear, accurate, visually engaging and client-ready.
Resource and Library Management
- Maintain and organise the WasteDocs resource library and related design assets.
- Upload, update, categorise and archive communication materials.
- Maintain file structures, naming conventions, document registers and version control.
- Identify outdated, duplicated or missing resources and coordinate updates.
Templates and Brand Management
- Develop and maintain reusable Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates.
- Adapt approved resources for different clients, audiences, formats and languages.
- Apply Foresight Environmental and client brand guidelines accurately and consistently.
- Help protect the quality and consistency of the company’s communication resources.
Document and Presentation Support
- Transform draft content, notes, technical information and approved concepts into polished documents.
- Format Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and reports to a professional standard.
- Support consultants with proposals, reports, presentations and client-facing materials.
Quality Assurance
- Review materials for formatting, readability, accuracy and brand consistency.
- Proofread layouts and check links, QR codes, graphics, pagination and file completeness.
- Package and archive final working files correctly.
- Ensure files are ready for print, digital publication or client distribution.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the Design and Marketing Manager on marketing initiatives, campaigns and communication projects.
- Collaborate with Company Directors, consultants and operations staff to deliver high-quality resources.
- Manage feedback efficiently while maintaining clear version control.
- Improve templates, workflows and production processes.
- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining professional judgement and quality control.
Required Skills
You must have strong experience with:
- Adobe InDesign, including paragraph styles, character styles, master pages, tables, long-document formatting, preflight and packaging.
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, including professional document and presentation formatting.
- Typography, hierarchy, layout and visual communication.
- Preparing print-ready and digitally published files.
- Managing multiple projects, deadlines, revisions and versions.
- Working independently from a clear brief in a remote environment.
- Written English and clear professional communication.
- File organisation, naming conventions and version control.
Bonus Skills and Experience
- An interest in sustainability and recycling.
- Experience with Figma, Canva or similar design platforms.
- Microsoft Excel.
- Experience supporting Australian, UK or US organisations remotely.
- Experience managing multiple client brands or accounts.
- Experience producing environmental, sustainability, educational, technical or consulting materials.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and data-driven documents.
- Experience using ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly or other AI-assisted production tools responsibly.
- Understanding of accessibility, digital publishing or multilingual document production.
Work Hours and Setup
- Remote role for a Philippines-based tea ---------- mber.
- Full-time position, with regular overlap required with Australian business hours.
- Must have a reliable computer suitable for Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 work.
- Must have a stable internet connection, a quiet working environment and reliable backup arrangements.
- A second monitor is strongly preferred.
- Must be punctual, reliable, proactive and consistent.

Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a practical Adobe InDesign exercise. The exercise will involve creating a professional document from supplied content and submitting:
- A final PDF.
- The packaged Adobe InDesign working file, including links and supporting assets.
- A brief note explaining the approach taken and any assumptions made.
Candidates who do not currently have Adobe InDesign may use an available free trial or discuss reimbursement for a one-month subscription before completing the exercise. The practical exercise will only be requested from shortlisted candidates.
