Position Overview
We are seeking a calm, dependable, organized, and proactive Driver Support Coordinator to assist delivery drivers throughout their workday.
In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, respond to routine questions, monitor attendance and operational updates, document issues, create support tickets, and escalate urgent concerns to leadership.
This position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, remains professional under pressure, solves problems carefully, and documents information accurately.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Driver Support
- Monitor driver calls, messages, and company communication channels
- Respond to routine driver questions
- Communicate approved warehouse and route updates
- Help drivers locate company procedures and resources
- Provide clear and professional support throughout the workday
- Conduct driver check-ins when assigned
- Maintain a supportive and respectful communication style
Attendance and Operational Readiness
- Monitor driver attendance and call-outs
- Document late arrivals, absences, and readiness concerns
- Confirm receipt of important driver communications
- Track daily operational-readiness information
- Notify leadership of staffing or coverage concerns
- Assist with communicating approved rescue-route instructions
- Escalate issues requiring management approval
Issue Documentation and Ticket Management
- Create support tickets for driver issues
- Record the driver’s name, issue, time reported, and actions taken
- Assign the correct issue category and priority
- Update tickets as new information becomes available
- Track issues until resolution or escalation
- Document final outcomes accurately
- Identify repeated driver questions or operational problems
Escalation and Communication
- Recognize when an issue requires leadership involvement
- Escalate emergencies and high-priority concerns promptly
- Follow the company’s chain of command
- Avoid making unauthorized promises or decisions
- Communicate updates to the appropriate parties
- Maintain organized shift notes and handoff information
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Has strong customer service experience
- Remains calm and professional during stressful situations
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Can manage multiple messages and issues
- Documents information accurately
- Knows when to resolve an issue and when to escalate it
- Learns new software and systems quickly
- Is dependable, professional, and proactive
- Has reliable internet and a quiet workspace
Experience in customer service, virtual assistance, administration, call-center support, dispatch support, or operations is preferred but not required.
Transportation or logistics experience is not required. Training will be provided on company procedures and systems.
Schedule
- Remote position
- 40 hours per week
- A consistent schedule will be assigned within the company’s operating hours of 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time
- Specific working days and shift hours will be discussed during the interview process
