About the Role

We’re looking for an expert data analyst who loves pricing, forecasting, and time-series data.

In this role you will

Work with large, multi-month datasets in spreadsheets.
Analyze demand patterns and booking behavior.
Adjust pricing rules in our pricing engine to maximize revenue.

We’ll train you on our domain, dashboards, and tools with two months paid training. You bring strong analytical skills, excellent spreadsheet ability, and clear thinking.

This is not a standard data entry role. Please read the entire description.

What You’ll Do

1. Analyze time-series performance data with large CSV exports (hundreds of assets × 180+ days of forward dates x many KPIs).
2. Maintain views that track targets
3. Detect when performance is changing, and make changes as necessary
4. Operate and refine our pricing engine
5. Build and maintain reporting / monitoring
6. Leave notes of what was changed, keep track of experiments you run/hypothesis/result

We have all existing tools, spreadsheets, and software provided and you will be trained on everything. But we’re open to suggestions for improvements at any time.

There are no client-facing meetings.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

  • Strong spreadsheet skills
  • Basic use of Excel/Google Sheets (example: pivot tables, formulas)
  • Strong basic math skills (example: percentages)
  • Can explain your logic step by step
  • Ability to think beyond just following SOPs
  • Forecasting intuition
  • Experience with Claude AI
  • You think in terms of probabilities, risk, and trade-offs
  • Attention to detail
  • You’ve previously used data to improve a metric (like revenue, conversion, margins)
  • You don’t casually mis-key prices or mix up columns.
  • You double-check key outputs before moving on.
  • Very very strong English with clear written communication
  • Desire for knowledge and growth as a person

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Metabase, etc.).
  • Prior experience in: Pricing, yield management, or revenue optimization, E-commerce, travel, or marketplace analytics
  • Put the word racecar in text in your application
  • Degree in mathematics, computer science, or analysis related field
  • Interest in vacation rental homes, resorts, and the Airbnb industry

How We Work

Fully remote.
Small team, direct access to the founder.
Flexible hours with some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time for collaboration.
Most communication via async tools (WhatsApp, Clickup, Google docs, Loom).
