QuickBooks Review and Cleanup Specialist, Partnership for Health

About the Role

Partnership for Health is a home care agency serving clients in Georgia and South Carolina under Medicaid waiver programs and VA contracts. All 2025 and 2026 year-to-date transactions have already been entered into QuickBooks Online by a previous bookkeeper. I need an experienced QuickBooks specialist to review that work against proper accounting standards and fix any errors before it goes to a tax preparer. This is a review and correction pass, not a rebuild from scratch.

What You Will Do
Review all entered transactions for 2025 and 2026 year to date for correct categorization
Confirm bank and credit card accounts are properly reconciled, not just entered

Find and fix any duplicate entries
Review accounts receivable and accounts payable for accuracy, including Medicaid waiver and VA billing-related entries
Correct any miscategorized or misapplied transactions
Specifically verify how money movements have been recorded, including transfers between Partnership for Health's income and expense accounts, transfers between Partnership for Health and TDIR Inc, and transfers between Partnership for Health and Wells Fargo. These have generally been recorded as owners' equity, and I need confirmation this was charted correctly according to proper accounting standards, since if it was done wrong, it was likely done the same way every time
Produce a written summary at the end explaining specifically what was done incorrectly by the previous bookkeeper and what you did to fix it, since these should be identifiable patterns rather than isolated errors
Confirm the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet are accurate and ready to hand to a tax preparer
Requirements

Minimum 6 years hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (not Desktop)
This role is for an experienced professional, not someone learning on the job
Comfortable reviewing an already entered file for errors, not just doing data entry
QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus, not required
Experience with a healthcare, home care, or Medicaid billing business is a plus, not required
Strong written English for documenting findings clearly
Available for a short video call before hire to walk through your process
Pay Structure

This is a fixed 12 hour engagement at $15 per hour, paid weekly as the review is completed, for a total of $180. If you find the file needs more time than 12 hours, you will tell me before doing additional hours so we agree on it together, rather than billing extra hours without a heads up.
