General Accountant (Full-Cycle Accounting | US, AU & SG Experience Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant to support international clients across the United States, Australia, and Singapore.

This is a remote Independent Contractor opportunity for accounting professionals with strong full-cycle accounting experience who can confidently manage General Ledger activities, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and AP/AR processes.

We are looking for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-entity business environments.

Responsibilities

General Ledger & Month-End Close

• Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) records and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other accounting adjustments
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Manage AP aging and vendor accounts
• Generate and issue customer invoices
• Monitor collections and customer balances
• Resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• Track and reconcile incoming payments

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Assist with variance analysis and management reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with audit requests and financial documentation

Accounting Operations

• Support multi-entity and multi-currency accounting activities
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assist with accounting system maintenance and process improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
• Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong end-to-end accounting background
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Experience with AP and AR processes
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting US, Australian, or Singapore-based companies
• Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting experience
• Shared Services or BPO accounting experience
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Workday, or similar platforms
• CPA designation or equivalent certification
