About the Role

About the Position

I am looking for an experienced US Civil Litigation Paralegal or Litigation Legal Assistant to assist with an active civil lawsuit in Florida state court.

This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate. You will work directly with me on a real, ongoing litigation matter involving discovery, motions, legal research, case organization, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain case files and exhibits.
Review pleadings, motions, discovery, and court filings.
Draft legal documents, discovery requests, responses, and correspondence.
Create chronologies, timelines, and evidence summaries.
Perform legal research and locate supporting authority.
Help identify inconsistencies and organize evidence.
Assist with hearing and trial preparation.
Maintain accurate document and deadline tracking.

Requirements

Previous experience in US civil litigation is required.
Excellent written English.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Experience with court filings, discovery, and litigation documents.
Ability to analyze complex documents and work independently.
High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred

Experience with Florida civil litigation.
Experience supporting attorneys or law firms in active litigation.
