About the Role

ABOUT THE SHOW
Run Long After 60 is a podcast dedicated to athletes aged 60 and older who compete in ultra-endurance events — trail races of 100 miles, 200 miles, and beyond. We interview these remarkable people about what keeps them moving, competing, and thriving later in life. The show is growing and we need help building our guest pipeline.

---
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will receive a Google Spreadsheet containing names of real athletes — men and women aged 60+ who have entered or finished major ultramarathon races including Cocodona 250, Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, Western States 100, Hardrock 100, Wasatch 100, and others.

For each person on the list your job is to find:
1. Instagram handle (most important)
2. Email address
3. Facebook profile URL
4. Personal website or blog

You will then enter whatever you find directly into the spreadsheet in the columns provided.
Here is how you find them:

  • Start with the name, city, and state already in the spreadsheet
  • Search Google: "[First Last]" ultrarunning OR trail running
  • Search Instagram directly for their name
  • Check ---------- — their athlete profile sometimes links to social media ( ---------- is free and public, no login needed)
  • Search Facebook by name and location
  • Look for race reports, running club pages, Strava profiles, or personal blogs

If you cannot find contact information for someone after 5–10 minutes of searching, mark the cell "Not found" and move on. Do not spend more than 10 minutes per person.

---
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In a 10-hour week we expect you to work through approximately 40–60 people. A good week means at least 30 people have at least one contact method (Instagram, Facebook , or email ) filled in. Quality matters more than speed — only enter information you are confident is correct for that specific person.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are a good fit if you:

  • Are comfortable doing web research in English
  • Are detail-oriented and accurate — we need the right person, not just any person with the same name
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Communicate clearly in English by email or message
  • Have a reliable internet connection

You do NOT need to know anything about ultrarunning or trail racing. We will explain everything.
---

SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Internet Research & Data Gathering
2. Social Media Lookup & Verification
3. Spreadsheet Data Entry (Google Sheets)

---
HOW TO APPLY
Please send a short message (3–5 sentences) telling us:

  • One example of a research or data task you have done before
  • What tools or websites you typically use to find people online

Applicants who do not answer both questions will not be considered. We are looking for someone to start within the week.
