ABOUT LIGHTNING BULT

Lightning Bult is a well-established Sydney home-services company specialising in Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Pool Heating. We have operated for more than 30 years and are continuing to grow our pool-heating division.

We are looking for a careful and resourceful online researcher to help us identify Sydney properties that appear to have inground swimming pools.

THE ROLE

Your primary responsibility will be researching publicly available and lawfully accessible online sources to create an accurate database of Sydney properties with inground pools.

Possible sources may include:

• Current and historical real-estate listings
• Property websites and publicly accessible property information
• Google Maps and satellite imagery, where permitted
• Pool builder portfolios and project pages
• Development applications and other lawful public records
• Publicly listed strata, accommodation and commercial-property information
• Licensed data providers approved by Lightning Bult

INFORMATION TO COLLECT

For each property, you will record:

• Street address
• Suburb and postcode
• Property type
• Evidence that the property has an inground pool
• Source URL
• Date the information was verified
• Pool type, where visible
• Approximate pool size, where reasonably identifiable
• Notes about existing heating equipment, where publicly visible
• Confidence rating: Confirmed, Highly Likely or Possible

Resident names, private phone numbers and personal email addresses must not be scraped or collected from social media, data leaks, people-search websites or other questionable sources.

Any contact or owner information may only be collected when it is publicly listed for business purposes or obtained from a licensed data provider specifically approved by Lightning Bult.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct accurate online property research
• Enter information into Google Sheets or Excel
• Check for and remove duplicate records
• Clearly record the source for every entry
• Verify information instead of making unsupported assumptions
• Follow website terms, privacy requirements and Australian marketing rules
• Provide a weekly report showing records researched, accepted and rejected
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company data and processes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong online research skills
• Experience with property research, lead generation or data collection
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written English
• Experience using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Ability to follow detailed instructions consistently
• Understanding of data privacy and responsible lead generation
• Reliable internet connection

Experience with Australian property websites, Google Maps, CRM systems, data cleaning, browser automation or compliant web-scraping tools would be highly regarded.

TEST TASK

Shortlisted applicants will complete a small test involving approximately 20 properties in nominated Sydney suburbs.

The test will assess:

• Accuracy
• Quality of supporting evidence
• Ability to follow instructions
• Spreadsheet presentation
• Duplicate checking
• Research speed
• Compliance with the approved research rules
