Power Direct Energy is a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) energy services company based in South Orange County, California, specializing in in-person and door-to-door outreach for the energy and broadband industries. We're growing and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented accounting partner to support our books on an ongoing basis.

What We Need
We are seeking an accounting firm or dedicated offshore accounting team experienced in U.S. GAAP accrual-basis accounting to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting for our company.

Scope of Work:

Full-cycle accrual-basis bookkeeping (AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferrals)
Monthly close and reconciliations (bank, credit card, intercompany)
Financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in accordance with U.S. GAAP
QuickBooks Online management
Support for payroll coordination, 1099s, and light compliance reporting
Ad hoc reporting for management and potential RFP/contract requirements

Requirements:

Proven experience with U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting (not cash-basis)
Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency
Experience serving U.S.-based clients, ideally in services, energy, or a similarly project-based industry
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work U.S. Pacific Time overlap hours for meetings and deadlines
Sound data security practices for handling financial and client information

Nice to Have:

Experience with small-to-mid-size U.S. businesses ($5M–$50M revenue range)
Familiarity with multi-entity or intercompany accounting
Background supporting companies with government/utility contracts or RFP reporting requirements
