Logistics Operations Manager

I run operations at a global logistics tech company helping e-commerce brands with international fulfillment. I need a Logistics Operations Manager to own the daily playbooks that keep freight moving and inventory accurate.

What you'll do:

Run daily logistics playbooks, using good judgment on the roughly 10% of cases outside standard procedure
Source and compare freight broker quotes, balancing cost and delivery timelines
Coordinate with freight brokers on bookings, track shipments, and resolve delays
Reconcile inventory on receipt, checking quantities and condition against POs and manifests
Coordinate with warehouse teams for timely inbounding and prevent bottlenecks
Review commercial invoices for accuracy on cross-border shipments
Classify shipments using HS codes to avoid customs delays
Keep accurate records in internal ops tools and calculators
Flag discrepancies or delays to the right team quickly
Support ad hoc logistics projects as we scale
Stay dependable and adaptable as priorities shift

Must-haves:

Background in logistics, freight, or e-commerce operations
Working knowledge of HS codes and customs classification
Familiarity with commercial invoices and cross-border shipping docs
Able to run daily playbooks independently and use good judgment
Strong attention to detail, consistent daily output
Comfortable coordinating directly with freight brokers and vendors

Nice-to-have: experience with inventory reconciliation, ops software, calculators, or WMS platforms

Rate: $8-10/hr
