Link Building Specialist

The Link Building Specialist owns and executes Lokal’s citation management and local backlink acquisition program across our entire client portfolio.

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the local search foundation that drives visibility for our contractor clients. This means ensuring every client has accurate, consistent business listings across high-authority directories while proactively earning quality local backlinks through outreach, partnerships, and content-driven strategies.

This is a hands-on execution role. You’ll build, or update citations for consistency, create local backlinks, and maintain NAP consistency scores across all active listings.

The ideal candidate knows how to find high-value citation opportunities, conduct outreach that actually gets responses, and build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and media contacts that generate sustainable backlinks.

This role reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with our SEO team and Account Managers to ensure citation and link building activity is aligned with each client’s overall growth strategy.
