Senior Millwork Drafter

Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter / 3D Modeler — Architectural Millwork (Remote, Long-Term)

Visual Millwork, Inc. is an AWI Premium Grade certified custom architectural millwork, metalwork, and stonework company based in the New York metro area. We design, fabricate, and install high-end interiors for hospitality, healthcare, retail, and corporate clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented drafter to join our team long-term as a dedicated remote resource.

What You'll Do

Produce detailed millwork shop drawings from architectural drawing sets, elevations, and designer markups
Create casework, paneling, cabinetry, and custom fixture drawings ready for fabrication
Build 3D models of proposed millwork pieces for client presentations and shop reference
Revise drawings based on internal and client feedback, tracking changes clearly
Coordinate with our project management team on timelines and revisions
Maintain consistent drawing standards, layer naming, and file organization across projects

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting, layering, dimensioning, plotting)
Working ability in at least one 3D modeling tool — SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or Inventor
Experience with architectural, casework, or fabrication-level shop drawings (not just concept/rendering work)
Strong English communication, written and verbal
Comfortable working U.S. business hours overlap (at least a few hours of daily overlap with Eastern Time)
Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace

Nice to Have

Prior experience in millwork, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing drafting specifically
Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards
Experience producing drawings for laminate, veneer, solid surface, or stone materials
Portfolio that includes shop drawings, not just architectural renderings
