Meta Ads Creative Researcher (Ecommerce) — Competitor & Angle Research
Curated from source
What this role is
I run paid social for ecommerce brands and I need someone who lives inside the Meta Ad Library. Your job is research and idea generation — not media buying, not editing.
What you'll actually do
Track competitor brands in our niches and pull what they're running: hooks, formats, offers, landers, how long each ad has been live
Spot which angles are scaling vs. which died after a week, and tell me why you think so
Build a running swipe file (screen recordings + screenshots + notes) organised by angle, format, and funnel stage
Deliver a weekly brief: 5–10 new creative concepts with the angle, the hook, the format (UGC, static, founder POV, comparison, problem/agitate, etc.) and a reference example
Watch adjacent industries and TikTok/organic for hooks we can port into Meta
You must have
Real hands-on ecommerce experience — you've worked on an actual store, not just read about it
Fluency with Meta Ad Library and comfort digging for hours without me chasing you
Understanding of why an ad works — offer, angle, audience awareness level — not just "this one looks nice"
Strong written English. The briefs need to be readable and specific
Organised output (Google Sheets / Notion / Drive)
Nice to have: Foreplay, AdSpy, Motion, or similar tools. Experience with DTC brands in health, beauty, gadgets, or apparel.
HOW TO APPLY — read carefully, applications that skip this get deleted
Start your message with the word "SWIPE" so I know you read the post. Then send:
The store(s) you've worked on — name and URL. Tell me what you did and what results you saw.
Why I should pick you over the other 50 people applying. Be specific, not generic.
Pick any ecommerce brand you like, go to their Meta Ad Library, and send me a short analysis: what they're running, which ad you think is their winner, why, and one new angle you'd test for them. Half a page is enough — this is the part I actually judge.
Tools you use and your available hours per week.
Applications without #3 will not be reviewed.
