About the role
I run a social media management business producing short-form content — Reels, TikTok, carousels — for clients across a few industries. The business is still in its early stages and scaling quickly, with a few large clients set to come on board around August. I'm looking for a reliable video editor/social media assistant to join now and grow with the company as it expands.

What you'll be doing
Editing short-form video content (Reels/TikTok/Stories) from raw footage to final export
Writing or adapting scripts for short-form content when needed
Following each client's style guide, pacing, and caption rules
Handling broader social media assistant tasks — scheduling, captions, content planning, and other day-to-day support as needed
Communicating clearly on turnaround times, revisions, and any issues with footage or briefs
Receiving job assignments and tracking work through Trello, with day-to-day communication on Slack

What I'm looking for
A seasoned video editor with experience editing specifically for social media (Reels/TikTok/Shorts — not just long-form)
DaVinci Resolve is preferred, since it makes it easy to share and hand off project files — Premiere Pro also works, and CapCut is fine if you're highly skilled with it
Comfortable writing or adapting scripts, not just cutting footage
Solid spoken and written English — you'll be getting briefs and giving updates directly, no middleman
A strong communicator — replies promptly, flags problems early, doesn't go quiet mid-project
Fast turnaround — jobs are often handed over just a day or a few days before they're due, so you'll need to move quickly without losing quality
Available during hours that overlap with Ireland time for feedback and revisions
Looking to grow with the business long-term, not just take on a one-off gig

Pay structure
Paid per project/per video rather than hourly. The faster and more efficient you are, the more you effectively earn per hour — rate is agreed per job based on scope and turnaround, not tracked minutes. Payments are made monthly via Wise.
