The role

Archer Wealth is a Sydney-based private credit lender. Our entire technology platform — broker portal, credit workbench, warehouse reporting, loan management — has been built by the founder. It works, it's in production, and it now needs a lead engineer to take ownership of it so the founder can get out of the codebase and back to running the business. You'll be the first dedicated engineering hire, working directly with the founder, with a genuine path to owning the platform end to end.

What success looks like in 12 months

You've taken over day-to-day ownership of a multi-app production monorepo, shipped features across the broker portal and credit workbench without regressions, tightened our release and testing practices, and become the person the founder trusts to say "handled."

What you'll do

• Own feature development across a React 18 + Vite monorepo (broker portal, credit workbench, ops tooling, warehouse reporting)
• Build and maintain the Supabase (Postgres) data layer — schema migrations, RLS policies, PostgREST queries
• Maintain integrations: Salesforce (Flows/Apex webhooks), Azure AD auth, Azure Document Intelligence, Claude API document extraction
• Write disciplined, idempotent SQL migrations and respect existing conventions (we have strong opinions and a documented house style)
• Communicate in clear written English: async updates, Loom walkthroughs, honest estimates

What we're looking for

*Required*

• 5+ years full-stack experience with React and modern JavaScript
• Strong SQL/Postgres — you can design schemas and debug row-level security, not just call an ORM
• Experience owning production systems solo or in a very small team
• Excellent written English and a habit of proactive async communication
• Comfortable working within an established codebase's conventions rather than rewriting to your preferences

*Preferred*

• Supabase, Netlify, or Azure AD/Entra experience
• Fintech, lending, or other regulated-industry background
• Salesforce integration experience (Flows, Apex, REST)
• Experience with LLM/document-AI integrations
