We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Team Leader with team management experience.
You will take the lead on production accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, tax returns, and GST reporting. You'll need solid knowledge of Australian taxation law to review returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies, and ensure all client work is accurate and compliant. Be able to provide feedback and guidance to tea ---------- mbers preparing the work and assisting them in completing the tasks.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced, detail-focused Senior Tax Accountant based in the Philippines to join our growing remote team. You'll be working with Australian clients and supporting the accounting team with end-to-end accounting.
This is a role for someone who knows the ropes of Australian taxation and is confident working independently, but who's also happy to collaborate and grow with the team.
This role is primarily focused on reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of work prepared by junior tea ---------- mbers before it progresses to senior management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage returns for TAX, FBT, BAS & Tax planning
Review financial statements and tax returns primarily, and may include Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs)
Provide help with the technical accuracy of the tax work for the clients
Assist with the ATO client correspondence and queries
Conduct tax research, stay updated on legislation, and anticipate changes

You have
At least 6 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting, with a focus on tax and financial statement preparation.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Solid interest in building efficiencies and not conforming to the status quo
Good communication skills - verbal and written – being confident to ask questions
Experience in reviewing and mentoring less experienced tea ---------- mbers
Teamwork:
Review and check other tea ---------- mbers' work
Delegate and manage the flow of work
Provide support and collaborate closely with the team
Systems & Technology (desirable, but not essential)
