About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend services, improving system performance, and contributing to the architecture of high-load applications.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
Build scalable APIs and microservices for high-traffic applications.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Develop and maintain asynchronous workflows using RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies.
Scale and optimize message consumers and background workers.
Deploy and maintain applications in cloud and Kubernetes environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions.
Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar) as part of the daily development workflow to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience with Node.js.
Expertise in NestJS/Next.js frameworks.
Experience handling high-load/high-traffic applications.
Cloud & Kubernetes environment experience.
RabbitMQ or similar message queue technologies.
Experience in scaling message consumers/workers.
Hands-on experience in exploring and implementing AI-driven automation solutions
MySQL database management for large datasets/high load is a huge plus.
ELK Stack experience is a plus.
React front-end development skills are a plus.
