Freelance Design Assistant (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, AI Image Generation)

We are a marketing and design agency looking for one reliable freelance design assistant to support our team on an as-needed, part-time basis. This is an ongoing relationship rather than a one-off project: some weeks will be busier than others, but we want to find a single person we can consistently rely on and grow with. For the right person, this has real potential to become a full-time role on our team over time.

This is a production-support role, not a lead design or concepting role. You will be adapting and building on existing designs and brand systems set by our senior designers. Motion design experience is a huge bonus (if you have it, please call attention to it in your application/cover letter), but it's not required.

What you will do:

• Take clear, detailed instructions and design templates provided by our senior designers and execute them accurately
• Resize, adapt, and lay out designs across formats in Figma and Illustrator while staying on-brand
• Prep and export production-ready assets
• Generate and edit AI images to spec (Nano Banana), then refine them for use in real design work using Photoshop

Requirements:

• Figma — comfortable working inside existing files, components, and brand systems
• Adobe Illustrator — able to work with vector assets and layouts
• Adobe Photoshop — able to edit, retouch, and composite images
• AI image generation — ideally hands-on with Nano Banana (Google's Gemini image model); general familiarity with other AI image tools is a plus

Also important:

• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• You follow written instructions precisely and ask good questions when something is unclear
• Reliable and responsive; comfortable collaborating asynchronously over Slack
• Good written English
• Available to jump on tasks on reasonably short notice (within 1 business day at most)
• Because we are looking for one long-term collaborator rather than filling a quick gig, we value consistency, dependability, and a genuine interest in growing with our team.
