SENIOR SEO LEAD

Role Overview

We are hiring an SEO Team Lead to own and grow our SEO department.

This is not just a technical role.

You will:

Lead SEO strategy across multiple clients

Manage and mentor SEO specialists and content writers

Build scalable SEO systems and processes

Connect SEO performance to real business outcomes

Work closely with the founder and leadership team

You must think strategically and execute consistently.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning

Develop 6–12 month SEO roadmaps

Create cluster and topical authority strategies

Build local SEO strategies for service-based businesses

Align SEO with revenue and lead targets

2. Team Leadership

Manage and mentor SEO specialists

Oversee content writers and editors

Review and improve briefs before execution

Run internal SEO meetings

Improve team processes and documentation

You will be responsible for performance and quality.

3. Technical SEO Oversight

Site architecture

Internal linking strategies

Schema implementation

Core Web Vitals

Indexation and crawl management

Redirect and migration planning

GBP optimization and local signals

4. Data & Reporting

Use GA4 and Search Console daily

Track conversions and attribution

Translate SEO metrics into business impact

Identify performance drops and growth opportunities

Present results confidently to clients

5. Process & Systems

Build repeatable SEO SOPs

Implement sprint-based SEO workflows

Use AI tools to improve efficiency

Improve reporting systems

Maintain task accountability through ClickUp or similar tools

Requirements
Experience

4+ years in SEO

Experience leading or mentoring a team

Proven local SEO results

Experience with service-based or local businesses

Agency Experience is a must

Skills

Strong technical SEO knowledge

Ability to create scalable content systems

Clear communication skills

Comfortable leading client calls

Strong analytical mindset

Familiar with AI tools and automation

Work Structure

Remote position

Must overlap at least 3–5 hours with Canada West Coast business hours

Ability to attend strategy calls during PST time zone when required
