JOB DESCRIPTION

We are Flare Studio, a growing British interiors start-up specialising in handmade, paintable plaster lighting and decorative architectural products.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded social media and marketing professional to manage our content scheduling, community engagement and basic performance reporting.

The initial role is primarily focused on implementing an established content strategy. However, we are specifically looking for someone with broader marketing experience who could gradually take on campaign planning, strategic responsibilities and team leadership as the business grows.

This is a long-term, task-based opportunity for someone interested in growing with an early-stage international brand.

WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE

  • More than 500 ready-made captions, keywords and hashtags
  • Hundreds of high-quality product images and videos
  • Product links and clear posting instructions
  • A content calendar with UK posting dates and times
  • Brand voice and engagement guidelines
  • Approved Facebook groups and relevant accounts where appropriate
  • Access to the necessary scheduling and reporting tools

All primary content will already be prepared.

INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Social media scheduling

Each week, you will batch-schedule:

  • 20 Pinterest Pins
  • 5 cross-posted Instagram and Facebook posts
  • 3 pre-scheduled Instagram Stories per day

You will also:

  • Match the correct caption with each image or video
  • Add the correct links, keywords, hashtags and tags
  • Select the appropriate Pinterest board for each Pin
  • Schedule content for the dates and UK times provided
  • Check that all content has been entered accurately
  • Confirm that scheduled content has published correctly
  • Report broken links, missing files or publishing problems

Instagram and Facebook engagement

Each week, you will:

  • Leave at least 20 genuine comments on relevant UK and US Instagram posts
  • Leave 10– ---------- genuine comments on relevant Facebook posts
  • Engage with interior designers, architects, renovation accounts, interiors publications and home décor creators
  • Write comments that are friendly, natural, specific and occasionally humorous
  • Represent Flare Studio professionally and consistently

Comments must not be generic, repetitive, copied, overly promotional or obviously AI-generated.

Facebook group posting

Each week, you will:

  • Share Flare Studio content in 3–5 approved UK and US Facebook groups
  • Follow the rules of each group
  • Adapt the supplied wording so posts feel natural and relevant
  • Keep a simple record of the groups used
  • Report rejected posts, warnings or restrictions

You must not post in groups that prohibit promotional or business content.

Monthly performance summary

Once per month, you will provide a brief summary identifying:

  • The strongest-performing posts and Pins
  • Reach, engagement, saves and website clicks where available
  • Any noticeable audience or content patterns
  • Two practical recommendations for the following month

This is intended to be a short, useful summary rather than a detailed marketing report.

FUTURE ROLE DEVELOPMENT

As you become familiar with Flare Studio and demonstrate strong judgement, there may be opportunities to assist with:

  • Developing social media and content strategies
  • Planning campaigns and product launches
  • Researching competitors, trends and audience opportunities
  • Creating monthly content calendars
  • Reviewing performance data and recommending improvements
  • Coordinating influencer or brand collaborations
  • Organising and supervising additional Philippines-based assistants
  • Progressing into a Marketing Lead or remote team-management role

These responsibilities are not included in the initial monthly fee.

Any substantial expansion into marketing strategy, campaign ownership, team management or additional working hours will be discussed separately and accompanied by an appropriate increase in payment.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal applicant will have:

  • At least two years of relevant social media or digital-marketing experience
  • Excellent written English
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Instagram, Facebook and ----------
  • Experience using scheduling and analytics tools
  • An understanding of content strategy, audience growth and engagement
  • The ability to write natural, friendly and occasionally humorous comments
  • Experience with premium, interiors, lifestyle, fashion or design brands preferred
  • The confidence to suggest practical improvements when appropriate
  • An interest in growing into a broader strategic or leadership position

INITIAL CONTRACT PERIOD

The role will begin with an initial three-month paid contract.

A brief check-in will take place after the first month to discuss scheduling accuracy, communication, brand tone and any practical improvements needed.

At the end of the third month, we will review the working arrangement. Subject to satisfactory performance and the continuing needs of the business, the intention is for the contract to continue long term.

The full agreed monthly payment will be provided throughout the initial contract period.

PAY AND PROGRESSION

Starting payment: $160 USD per month, fixed fee

A payment review will take place after six months. Subject to satisfactory performance and reliability, the monthly fee is intended to increase to $175 USD.

A further review will take place after 12 months, with the opportunity for the monthly fee to increase to $200 USD.

Any substantial increase in responsibilities, working hours, strategic ownership or team-management duties will be reviewed separately and may result in an additional increase in payment.

EXPECTED HOURS

Approximately 4 hours per week, or 16 hours per month

This is a fixed-fee, task-based role. The exact working time may vary depending on experience, efficiency and the scheduling tools used.

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a video interview.

Final candidates may also be asked to complete a practical task involving social media scheduling, engagement comments and basic marketing judgement.
