**Part-Time Senior Accountant, Remote Philippines, AU Accounting & Xero**

We’re an Australian software company looking for an experienced accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting and financial reporting.

This is a remote, part-time role for approximately 20 hours per week. It is not a junior bookkeeping position.

YOUR FIRST PRIORITIES WILL BE TO:

• Bring all bank reconciliations completely up to date
• Review, correct and maintain our written accounting procedures
• Identify missed billing, unusual costs, margin problems and areas where profit may be leaking
• Establish reliable daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting

ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Bank reconciliations and transaction review
• Invoicing, recurring billing and accounts receivable
• Payroll, superannuation and STP
• Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, budget and forecast reporting
• Revenue, staff billing and project profitability analysis
• Preparing BAS information and working with our Australian accounting firm
• Improving accounting controls, spreadsheets and procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of hands-on Xero experience
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting, payroll, superannuation and BAS
• Previous experience in a professional services business, with a strong understanding of time-based billing, retainers, work in progress and project profitability, will be highly regarded.
• Experience managing accounts through to P&L and Balance Sheet
• Advanced Google Sheets skills
• Able to work independently, investigate discrepancies and resolve problems
• Comfortable following existing procedures while improving anything that is incomplete or out of date
