About the Role

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Wedding Photo & Video Editor to join our team on a freelance basis. You will be responsible for delivering polished, emotional, and timeless wedding galleries and highlight films that our couples will treasure for a lifetime.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong eye for colour, storytelling, and cinematic editing, who can work independently while meeting tight deadlines.

What You'll Be Doing

• Culling and editing full wedding photo galleries (colour correction, skin retouching, consistency across images)
• Editing cinematic wedding highlight films (typically 3–5 minutes) with music synchronization and engaging pacing
• Delivering final files according to project specifications and deadlines
• Communicating proactively regarding project progress and revisions
• Maintaining a consistent editing style that aligns with our brand

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience editing wedding or event photography and videography
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, or equivalent photo editing software
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong understanding of colour grading, storytelling, and emotional pacing
• Reliable internet connection and ability to transfer large files efficiently
• Portfolio demonstrating wedding or event editing experience
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback professionally
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines

Bonus Skills

As our client base grows, some couples may request full-length wedding films in addition to highlight edits. Experience editing longer-form cinematic wedding films is considered a strong asset but is not required.

Selection Process

Unpaid Skills Trial

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a brief unpaid editing trial to evaluate technical ability and editing style.

Task 1 – Wedding Photo Editing

• Cull and edit a selection of RAW or JPEG wedding photographs.
• Apply professional colour correction, exposure balancing, and light retouching to create a delivery-ready gallery.

Task 2 – Wedding Highlight Film**

• Edit a 2–3 minute cinematic wedding highlight film using provided footage.
• Include music synchronization, smooth transitions, storytelling, and a basic cinematic colour grade.

This trial is unpaid and is used solely for evaluation purposes. Submitted work will not be used commercially, and all rights remain with the applicant.
