Viral Product Video Researcher & Editor

About the Role

We are building a high-volume short-form content distribution system focused on:

• Useful and unusual products
• Products trending in China
• Factory and manufacturing videos
• Interesting inventions and technology
• Home, pet, kitchen, car, beauty and travel products
• Viral product demonstrations

We are looking for a reliable Virtual Assistant who can research proven content ideas, identify strong source videos, adapt them for English-speaking audiences, edit short-form videos and track performance.

This is initially a part-time paid trial with the potential for expanded hours, performance bonuses and a long-term position.

Main Responsibilities

You will:

• Research promising videos from TikTok, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, YouTube, Instagram and other sources
• Find product demonstrations, factory processes, inventions and curiosity content
• Record source links, views, engagement and product information in Google Sheets
• Identify why a video has viral or commercial potential
• Rewrite hooks for English-speaking audiences
• Create short-form vertical videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and ----------
• Add English captions, text overlays, AI voiceovers, music and calls to action
• Remove unnecessary sections and reorganize footage when needed
• Create multiple hook variations from winning ideas
• Export clean videos without another platform’s watermark
• Upload or schedule approved videos
• Track views, retention, clicks, leads and sales
• Follow detailed SOPs and maintain organized files

The role is focused on researching proven ideas and creating localized, meaningfully edited content—not simply downloading and reposting unchanged videos.

Ideal Candidate

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have experience editing TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts
• Understand hooks, retention and what makes viewers stop scrolling
• Are comfortable using CapCut, Canva or similar editing tools
• Can write clear English hooks and captions
• Have experience researching affiliate products or TikTok Shop content
• Can work independently and follow precise instructions
• Are organized with Google Sheets and Google Drive
• Can produce content quickly without letting quality collapse
• Are comfortable using AI tools for scripts, voiceovers, captions and research
• Have reliable internet and a dependable computer or phone
• Are interested in a long-term role that may grow with performance

Experience with Chinese platforms, product sourcing, affiliate content or ecommerce is helpful but not required.

Initial Workload

The role will begin part-time.

Initial targets may include:

• Researching 10–20 source videos per day
• Producing 2–4 approved short-form videos per day
• Writing multiple hooks and captions
• Maintaining a content and analytics tracker
• Creating new variations from successful videos

Targets will be adjusted based on quality, speed and the complexity of each video.

Compensation

• Initial paid trial rate: ?50 per hour
• Trial begins part-time
• Paid weekly during the initial trial
• Potential for expanded hours after successful performance
• Potential performance bonuses based on accepted output, traffic, leads or sales
• Rate reviews may be offered to tea ---------- mbers who consistently produce strong commercial results

Paid Test

Shortlisted applicants will receive a small paid test.

The test may include:

1. Find 10 promising videos featuring useful products, factories or inventions.
2. Organize the source links and performance information in a Google Sheet.
3. Explain briefly why each idea has potential.
4. Select one idea and produce one finished 20–35 second English-language video.
5. Provide three alternative hooks for the same video.
