We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Product Manager to lead and enhance our Digital Church Platform®. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the product development lifecycle, managing development resources effectively, and ensuring rigorous final testing processes before releasing software updates. You will also play a critical role in translating the strategic vision held by the founder into actionable roadmaps and product deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Product Development (PD) pipeline, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Prioritise and allocate development resources efficiently to align with strategic priorities.
- Conduct comprehensive final testing and quality assurance to guarantee smooth, error-free software updates before public release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver product enhancements that meet user needs and drive platform adoption.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders regarding project timelines, milestones, and release schedules.
- Translate strategic vision and high-level ideas from leadership into actionable product roadmaps, user stories, and specifications.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring all parties are aligned.
- Set up and manage internal systems (e.g. Basecamp and HubSpot) to track backlog, sprints, and milestones.
- Gather feedback from churches and users to shape future features and improvements.
- Monitor product performance or user feedback loops to inform decisions and prioritisation.
- Monitor incoming requests via helpdesk and chat channels, triage issues, and ensure timely resolution either directly or by coordinating with the development team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Product Management, ideally within digital platforms or SaaS environments.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple development priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in software testing and quality assurance.
- Demonstrable capability in managing software product lifecycles effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Previous experience in digital community platforms or faith-based digital services is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience writing product requirements, specs, and user stories to support development.
- Understanding of user needs in faith-based or nonprofit contexts, particularly around compliance, admin, or community tools, is highly desirable.
- A mindset geared toward scalability, continuous improvement, and hands-on problem solving in an early-stage SaaS environment.
