About the Role

PROGRAMMATIC ADVERTISING ADMIN OPERATIONS VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

The Blended Group | Remote (Contractor) | Part-Time

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Blended Group is an influencer marketing and talent management agency working with tech and AI brands. We're looking for a Programmatic Advertising Admin Operations Virtual Assistant to bridge ad technology and business operations — someone who's comfortable in the backend of DSP platforms one minute and cleaning up a billing tracker the next.

This role handles the day-to-day execution of programmatic campaigns (buying and selling ad inventory through automated platforms) and manages the routine financial, administrative, and reporting work that keeps a marketing team running smoothly. You'll be the person who makes sure campaigns are set up correctly, spend is tracked accurately, and reports are ready before anyone has to ask for them.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Administration

  • Set up and configure programmatic campaigns across DSPs including Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, Google Ads (DV360/Google Display & Video 360 experience a plus), and other specialized ad servers
  • Build out targeting parameters, audience segments, budgets, flight dates, and bid strategies per campaign brief
  • Traffic ad tags and tracking pixels; QA campaigns before launch to confirm they're configured correctly
  • Monitor active campaigns for delivery issues, pacing problems, or platform errors and flag/resolve promptly

Financial Operations

  • Track ad spend against approved budgets across all active campaigns and platforms
  • Manage campaign invoices — collecting, organizing, and reconciling against insertion orders/contracts
  • Check for payment and billing discrepancies between platform spend and vendor invoices
  • Maintain and update billing trackers so spend status is always current and easy to audit

Data & Reporting

  • Pull raw performance data from DSPs and ad platforms and consolidate it into clean, easy-to-read reports
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and/or Excel/Sheets
  • Track and report on core metrics: ROAS, CTR, CPM, CPC, conversion rate, and pacing vs. budget
  • Deliver recurring (weekly/monthly) performance summaries to the marketing team, flagging wins and areas of concern

Quality Assurance

  • Review ad creatives (images, video, copy) against each platform's specifications and guidelines before submission
  • Troubleshoot broken tracking links, rejected creatives, and other pre-launch or in-flight issues
  • Maintain a QA checklist/SOP so creative and tracking issues get caught before they become client-facing problems

ESSENTIAL TECH STACK & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing campaigns in at least one major DSP — Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, or Google DV360/Google Ads — with working knowledge of programmatic buying fundamentals (audience targeting, bid strategy, pacing, frequency capping)
  • Comfortable navigating Meta (Facebook /Instagram) Ads Manager for campaign setup and reporting
  • Strong Google Workspace skills (Sheets, Docs, Looker Studio) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic dashboarding)
  • Experience with Google Analytics or a comparable analytics/attribution tool
  • Familiarity with project management tools — we use ClickUp (Asana or Trello experience is also fine, we'll train on ClickUp)
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail — this role touches client billing and reporting, so accuracy matters
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet home-office setup for calls

Nice to have:

  • Amazon Ads or Amazon DSP certification, Trade Desk Edge Academy certification, or Google Ads/Analytics certification
  • Prior experience working with a US-based agency or marketing team
  • Familiarity with Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) or other retail media platforms (Walmart Connect, Criteo)
  • Experience troubleshooting UTM parameters and third-party tracking pixels

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Campaigns launch on time, configured correctly, with no avoidable QA issues
  • Budget trackers and billing records are accurate and current — no surprises at reconciliation
  • Reports are clear, on schedule, and require minimal back-and-forth to understand
  • The marketing team trusts you to flag problems (pacing, discrepancies, creative rejections) before they're asked

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

  • Independent contractor role, part-time
  • Pay rate: $5/hour (USD)
  • Working hours overlapping US Pacific or Eastern time preferred
  • Remote — work from anywhere with a reliable connection

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants must submit all of the following — incomplete applications will not be considered:
1. Updated resume or CV
2. Portfolio link (Google Drive, Notion, Behance, or personal site) showing prior campaign or reporting work
3. A short cover letter (3–5 sentences): describe your experience, the platforms you know best, and one result you're proud of from a past client
4. If you read this far, include "MediaBlended" in the subject line of your application email
5. Your available start date and preferred working hours (US Pacific or Eastern time preferred)
