Dental Insurance Specialist (Remote | Full-Time)

We’re looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Specialist who can confidently handle dental insurance processes with minimal supervision.

Position Details:

• Full-time | Long-term | Remote
• $7/hour, based on experience
• Paid U.S. Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
• Obtain complete benefit breakdowns and coverage details
• Review frequency limitations, deductibles, maximums, waiting periods, and exclusions
• Submit and follow up on dental claims and pre-authorizations
• Review EOBs and identify denied, rejected, or underpaid claims
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and patient coverage
• Explain insurance benefits and estimated patient responsibility clearly
• Maintain accurate documentation and insurance records
• Coordinate with the dental front office, billing team, and treatment coordinators

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have hands-on experience working as a Dental Insurance Specialist
• Must be highly proficient with CDT dental procedure codes
• Must have strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatment plans
• Must understand dental insurance plans, limitations, exclusions, frequencies, and downgrades
• Must have experience with insurance verification, claims, pre-authorizations, EOBs, and denials

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone experienced, knowledgeable, and confident in handling dental insurance from verification through claim resolution.
