About the Role

The Law Office of Natlie Figgers is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support daily legal operations. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with case preparation, legal documentation, client communication, and administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting.
  • May prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize client files, case records, and legal documentation.
  • Handle calls.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates, document requests, and scheduling.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments.
  • Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
  • Assist in preparing materials for court hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Ensure all legal documents comply with court requirements and deadlines.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including email management, filing, and data entry.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal with US Law Firms is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Skills:

  • Tech Savvy is a must
  • Experience with legal document management systems.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and court filings.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in family law, personal injury, civil, corporate, or litigation matters.
