About the Role

Senior Video Editor (Long-Form VSLs & Meta Ads) – Full-Time

We’re a fast-growing e-commerce brand focused on building high-converting video ads for Meta.

[Briefly explain your company and product here.]

Example:

  • What product(s) do you sell?
  • Who is your target audience?
  • What makes your product unique?
  • Why does your product work differently from competitors?
  • What problem does it solve?

?

What we’re really after (please read this carefully)

This is the most important part of the role, so we’ll be direct about it.

Our biggest growth opportunity sits at the very top of the funnel — with cold, “unaware” and “problem-aware” audiences.

These are people who experience the problem every day but don’t yet understand the real cause behind it. They often haven’t connected the dots yet and may not even know a solution exists.

That means our ads shouldn’t immediately mention diagnoses, product categories, or obvious solutions. Instead, our best-performing ads:

  • Lead with a relatable symptom, frustration, or everyday situation.
  • Reframe the problem by revealing a hidden cause the viewer never considered.
  • Naturally bridge into the solution, proof, and offer.

We’re specifically looking for an editor who can build long-form, top-of-funnel storytelling ads that educate and reframe—not just conversion edits for warm audiences.

Our videos are getting longer, not shorter. The ability to keep a cold viewer engaged for 2–4+ minutes is the single most valuable skill you can bring.

This is a senior role. We’re not looking for someone who’s still learning. We need someone who has already edited high-performing long-for ---------- ta ads and can prove it.

?

What you’ll be doing

  • Edit long-form VSL ads (2–4+ minutes) designed to move cold audiences from problem awareness to purchase.
  • Build narrative arcs:
  • Hook
  • Problem
  • Reframe
  • Solution
  • Proof
  • CTA
  • Edit with strong pacing for retention (cuts every 2–4 seconds, captions, motion graphics, B-roll layering).
  • Work from structured creative briefs and customer avatars.
  • Translate written scripts into emotionally engaging visual stories.

?

What this role is NOT

We’re not looking for someone who simply cuts clips together.

We’re looking for someone who understands:

  • Why a 3-minute Meta ad keeps a cold audience watching.
  • How to layer B-roll, text, music and AI visuals to build narrative tension.
  • Which first five seconds matter most.
  • How pacing and visual rhythm influence retention.
  • How editing differs between unaware audiences and audiences ready to buy.

?

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience editing long-form/VSL Meta ads.
  • Proven experience with direct-response advertising.
  • Please share examples.
  • Strong AI image and AI video generation skills.
  • Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects or CapCut Pro.
  • Understanding of performance marketing.
  • Ability to transform scripts into engaging visual stories.
  • Experience with captions, motion graphics, color grading and B-roll.
  • Ability to source stock footage, UGC and brand assets.
  • Fluent English.

Nice to have

  • Experience editing for older demographics.
  • Experience within health, wellness or similar consumer niches.

?

What we offer

  • Full-time position (8 hours per day).
  • Long-term opportunity.
  • Clear systems, customer avatars, scripts and creative briefs.
  • Room to grow with the company.
  • Direct collaboration with the creative strategist.

?

How to apply

If you’ve read this carefully, start your application with the word “Editing”. Applications without it will be skipped.

Then send us:

1. Three (3) long-for ---------- ta ads you’ve edited that target unaware or problem-aware audiences (minimum 2 minutes each).
2. At least three realistic AI-generated scenes you’ve created for storytelling in video ads.
3. A few sentences explaining why you’re the right fit for this role.
4. Review our product:
[Insert your product page here.]
5. Based on our product, briefly describe one long-form VSL concept (2–3 minutes) you would create, including the narrative arc and visual storytelling approach for a cold audience.
6. Tell us which editing and AI tools you use, and your typical turnaround time per video.

Thank you.
