E-Commerce Bookkeeper / VA (Xero & A2X Expert) — UK Shopify Business

We run a high-volume UK Shopify e-commerce business alongside a trading card side project. Most sales originate outside the UK, meaning our payment gateways and international sales channels require clean, precise tracking. We already have a UK accountant handling compliance and tax filings; our books are fully cleaned up. We need someone for ongoing daily/weekly maintenance only—no backlog cleanup required.

Key Responsibilities:

Xero & A2X Management: Oversee automated daily feeds using Xero and A2X to ensure e-commerce payouts and channel reconciliations flow correctly.

Transaction Matching: Take inbound receipts, invoices, or expense documents and accurately match them with bank and payment gateway transactions in Xero.

Sales Channel Breakdown: Ensure sales are clearly categorized by source (separating domestic UK vs. international non-VAT orders) for our accountant.

Ledger Maintenance: Keep feeds tidy, up-to-date, and audit-ready on a regular schedule.

Requirements:

Proven, hands-on experience using Xero and A2X specifically for e-commerce (Shopify) brands.

Familiarity with how international e-commerce sales and multi-currency payouts work within a UK business framework.

High attention to detail with receipt matching and categorization.

Reliable, proactive, and good at asynchronous communication.
