About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and confident Virtual Phone Receptionist to join our Australian entertainment agency. This is a long-term remote position for someone with excellent English, outstanding customer service skills, and the confidence to speak with Australian clients over the phone.

Pay: $5 USD per hour (depending on experience)

Shift Structure

Paid Reception Shift
Friday

  • 10:00 PM – 3:00/4:00 AM (Melbourne, Australia time)
  • Paid USD $4 per hour
  • Plus 5% commission on any booking deposits you secure during your shift.

Commission / On-Call Shifts
These shifts are primarily commission-based.

  • Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 3:00/4:00 AM
  • Thursday: 10:00 PM – 3:00/4:00 AM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Commission Structure

  • 10% of the booking deposit when you manage the enquiry from start to finish.
  • 5% of the booking deposit if you begin the booking and another tea ---------- mber completes it.

POTENTIAL FOR MORE SHIFTS; Paid Saturday & other days with commission.

About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for clients, answering phone calls and responding to enquiries professionally while following our booking procedures.

Some shifts may be busy with continuous enquiries, while others may be very quiet. Even during quiet periods, you must remain online and available to respond immediately when enquiries come through.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally.
  • Respond promptly to WhatsApp enquiries.
  • Collect client information accurately.
  • Follow booking procedures and company systems.
  • Keep detailed notes for management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate clearly with the management team.
  • Remain organised and calm during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Friendly and confident phone manner.
  • Previous customer service, receptionist, virtual assistant or call centre experience is preferred.
  • Reliable laptop or computer.
  • High-speed, stable internet.
  • Quiet workspace suitable for phone calls.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.

During Every Shift You Must

  • Stay logged into WhatsApp on your computer.
  • Remain connected to Zoom for communication with management.
  • Monitor and refresh WhatsApp regularly for new enquiries.
  • Respond to messages and phone calls promptly.
  • Remain available for your entire rostered shift, even if there are no enquiries.

This role is reliability-based. Some nights there may be little activity, while other nights can be very busy. You’re being paid (or rostered on commission shifts) to remain available and provide fast, professional responses whenever enquiries come through.
