About Crappy Cleanup

Crappy Cleanup is a fast-growing dog waste removal company serving the Phoenix, Arizona area. We provide recurring and one-time yard cleaning services to hundreds of residential customers across the valley. Our recurring plans range from monthly to three times per week depending on the customer — making us one of the most flexible pet waste removal services in the market. We are a real company with real systems, real culture, and a real growth path for the right people.

We are hiring our first remote Customer Service Representative to help us scale. This is not a task-and-forget VA role. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, take ownership of the customer experience, and eventually move into a senior office role as the team expands.

The Role

You will be the voice of Crappy Cleanup to every customer. You handle inbound customer communication, manage our sales pipeline, process cancellation save attempts, pitch service upgrades, and keep our CRM organized and up to date. You follow proven scripts and systems — and you bring your own warmth and professionalism to every interaction.

This is a high trust, high ownership role. We will train you on everything Crappy Cleanup specific. What we cannot train is the communication skill, the customer service instinct, and the drive to do excellent work. You need to bring those.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to all inbound customer texts, email s, and messages within 10 minutes during business hours
  • Manage our sales pipeline — follow up with new leads, pitch service options, and onboard new customers using GHL
  • Handle cancellation save attempts using our proven save script via text and phone
  • Actively pitch service upgrades and add-on services to new and existing customers
  • Process daily billing — charge new services at start of shift and follow up on failed payments
  • Monitor the operations board every morning for missed jobs and scheduling discrepancies
  • Log detailed notes after every customer interaction across all platforms
  • Send proactive customer follow up messages at key touchpoints after signup
  • Process customer account change requests — frequency changes, holds, and updates
  • Monitor and re-engage dormant customer accounts
  • Support referral program management

Schedule and Hours

This is a full-time remote position working Arizona business hours. Arizona does not observe daylight saving time so our hours are consistent year round.

Hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:30am to 3:30pm Arizona time (MST/UTC-7)
Time Zone: Must be able to work Arizona business hours — MST year round
Days: Monday through Saturday
Location: Fully remote — work from home

Activity Monitoring

This role uses activity monitoring software during work hours to track active time and computer activity. This is standard practice for our remote team and ensures fairness across the board — everyone on the remote team is held to the same standard. If you do excellent work you will have nothing to worry about.

Compensation

Base Pay: $5.00–$8.00 USD per hour depending on experience
Performance Bonuses: Earn bonuses based on service upgrades sold, add-on services enrolled, and customer retention rate. Top performers earn an additional $150 to $300 per month on top of base pay.
Payment: Paid weekly via your preferred method
Growth: Strong performers have a clear path to Office Manager as the team grows

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Excellent written and spoken English — clear, warm, and professional in every interaction
  • Customer service experience — minimum 1 to 2 years in a customer facing role
  • Available to work Arizona business hours consistently — no exceptions
  • Strong computer skills — comfortable learning new software quickly
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment
  • Ability to follow scripts and systems precisely while still sounding human and genuine
  • Detail oriented — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
  • Self-motivated — you do not need to be micromanaged to do great work

Preferred — Not Required:

  • Experience in a US-based home service, subscription, or service industry company
  • Experience with CRM tools — any platform
  • Experience with sales, customer retention, or outbound follow up
  • Prior experience working with US clients during US business hours
  • Typing speed of 50 WPM or higher
