UX/UI Designer for a Fast-Growing DTC Brand
Curated from source
Happy Staffy Co creates tough, Staffy-tested gear for dogs that destroy everything — chew-proof toys, beds that actually last, and treats dogs go wild for.
We’re a growing, founder-led eCommerce brand and we’re looking for a freelance UX/UI Designer with CRO experience to help improve how our site looks, feels, and converts.
This is a hands-on execution role. You’ll be working closely with our developer and Head of Marketing to design premium, high-converting product and landing pages, refine the customer journey, and turn paid traffic into confident purchases. Your work will directly impact conversion rate, AOV, and overall customer experience across the site.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing key pages from scratch and from briefs (PDPs, collection pages, cart, landing pages)
- Improving conversion rate through CRO experiments (A/B tests, iterations, refinements)
- Translating CRO insights into practical, on-brand design changes
- Optimising experiences mobile-first (most of our traffic comes from paid social)
- Working within existing brand guidelines and component systems
- Collaborating async with marketing, dev, and paid social via Slack
- Analysing performance data and proactively suggesting UX and conversion improvements
Hours & Availability:
- Freelance role
- Approx. 10–15 hours per week
- Hours may flex depending on projects and launches
- This role suits someone comfortable with async work who can check in most days, even briefly.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have hands-on UX/UI design experience for eCommerce websites (Shopify experience required)
- Have worked on CRO projects and understand how design impacts performance
- Understand conversion fundamentals (scroll behaviour, friction, trust, hierarchy, clarity)
- Design with performance in mind, not just aesthetics
- Are comfortable iterating quickly based on feedback and data
- Can follow direction closely and execute efficiently
- Are organised and clear when communicating async
- Like dogs (very important ????)
How to Apply
Please include:
- A short intro about you
- Examples of UX/UI work for eCommerce sites (live links or Figma screenshots)
- Examples where your design work improved conversion, usability, or clarity
Optional (we will prioritize these applications):
A short Loom (under 5 minutes) walking through:

- Your thoughts on our current best-selling product page:
